Sephora UK Gold Birthday Gift + Full Size Reward

So this year I managed to reach the Gold tier at Sephora which gave a nice perk - slightly nicer birthday gift and better full size items to choose from rewards section.

The Gold Birthday gift 2026 is this Glow Recipe trio containing:

  1. Watermelon Glow PHA+BHA Pore-Tight Toner 25ml

  2. Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dew Drops 15ml

  3. Plum Plump Hyaluronic Cream 15ml

The difference between Silver and Gold gifts is the added Plump Cream 15ml to the Gold gift.

I am personally quite surprised at how Glow Recipe managed to coax Sephora into providing the Birthday gift sets this year when I imagine everyone and their daughter has already tried Glow Recipe in the UK. It is not a new brand here at all, therefore, when Sephora has so many great exclusives - why not make sure those are the special gifts for customers that spend a lot annually?

It seems to me that Sephora UK are not inclined to reward their customers and have not been thoughtful with the rewards nor gifts.

Not to mention the tiers are different to US and the annual sales last 3 times shorter in UK compared to US. The highest tier in US receives 30% during sales whilst UK gold tier highest discount is 25%.

These differences are really unfortunate and I hope UK will soon match the usual Sephora US standard.

I was also able to choose a full size reward and had options between Morroccanoil Leave in Conditioner and Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm in Vanilla. I chose the latter as I already know these lip balms and like them so it's more likely to be something that I will use. The choices for HIGHEST TIER are again underwhelming and I would expect more premium and more exclusive to Sephora products.

And to finish off this rant, I also received an email to a Gold exclusive Merit event in the UK at the time when all tickets have been sold out and the Sephora customer care team refused to explain or acknowledge this issue despite several email exchanges.

So overall, the Sephora UK customer experience is of a pretty low standard and I hope it improves soon. Therefore, if you are feeling motivated to spend more for higher tier rewards - I would highly advise you to not be in a rush as these rewards do not match the required £800+ spend premium level.
